Cassava Fizz (2023) is a creamy, prolific bloomer that, in spite of the shorter height (2.5-3’), produces 3” flowers on good long stems that have never been thick (I don’t like fat stems on my dahlias). The multitude of petals are split slightly at the tips, giving them the textural, ‘fizzy’ look I adore. The height and bushy habit makes this one a great candidate for mixed border plantings and larger containers as well. Deep green, slightly dissected foliage sets off the neutral flower shade that may read as buttercream, cream or even slightly tan in some conditions. May need some protection from high, mid-summer sun.
