Camano Mordor (2013) is a dahlia that I was intrigued by years ago and it took some hunting to finally locate some tubers. Two years later, I can tell you the wait was entirely worthwhile. These beautiful, 3”, long lasting, weather-resistant flowers have a base of soft golden petals that are highlighted by a rosy wash towards the tips. That rosy wash is more visible towards the flower center where the multitude of petals are concentrated. 4- 4.5’ plant. This dahlia makes an excellent bridge between colors: rich peach to burgundy, gold to deep fuchsia. and is a constant cut for my ‘juicy’ lineup with local florists.
