Lee’s Khakalaki (2006) 3” collarette form on 3.5-4’ tall plant. The outer petals emanate pinkish red from the base in varying degrees according to the weather and end with buttery yellow tips. The pure white collar accents the color fade. Khakalaki blooms early and flowers like crazy and the 3’5’ tall plants are visited by pollinators all season. I love this one in the garden but I adore it as a cut flower. Collarette forms can be cut at mature bud stage and those flowers will open>
