Lee’s Dragoneye Vermillion (2026) This striking anemone form dahlia has rosy red petals the reflex towards the stem and the deep red tufted petals are distinctly tipped in gold. The dark stems are great for cutting and at 3’ tall or lower, this variety is also good for mixed borders. Dragoneye Vermillion is a bushier plant than the other dahlias in the Dragoneye series.
Unlike dahlias with a ton of petals, anemone form dahlias can be cut when they are barely starting to open and will continue to open fully. You can even cut them in bud and they will open, but the flowers will be slightly smaller but the color remains.
