Lee’s Brass Monkey (2026) …that funky monkey (sorry- lifelong Beastie Boys fan here) Now, back to normal: one of my favorites, Brass Monkey is 5-5.5 feet tall and the deep bronze ID form flowers are 5” in size. The stems are out of this world long, strong and very thin with strong flower attachment. I have found that the first flush of flowers, the side buds shoot up quickly and form stems that are just as long, so you can either dis-bud those side ones very early (which I don’t), or cut the whole stem deep and use the side flowers as well. Long vase life and excellent storage capability make this productive beauty a must for richly toned floral compositions.
