Lee’s Black Raspberry (2026) I have been slowly selecting, trialing and growing my numbers of several richly colored dahlia seedlings and Black Raspberry is is one I have been so pleased with. 4” FD flowers erupt from long dark stems that hover above the foliage- similar in habit to Lee’s Elmo. 4-4.5’ plants are productive in flower as well as tubers. The color is so yummy! We have wild black raspberries that grow in this area and when they are ripe, I always make time to pick as many as I can. The juice that comes out of those delicious summer berries is similar in color to this flower, hence the name.
Lee’s Black Raspberry is also available in the Jewel Toned Dahlia Tuber Collection: https://www.goldenrodgardens.net/lees-dahlias/p/jewel-toned-dahlia-tuber-collection
